Asthma Inhaler Threshold Calculator Terms of Use

  1. The Asthma Inhaler Threshold Calculator (the ‘Calculator’) is a tool designed by UK Anti-Doping (‘UKAD’) to assist the User in determining whether their use of an asthma inhaler is prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (‘WADA’) Prohibited List. The Calculator does not replace information contained in the WADA Prohibited List, the World Anti-Doping Code or any Technical Document published by WADA.
  2. The Calculator does not replace any existing responsibility of the User to actively check and verify the anti-doping status of a substance by reference to the WADA Prohibited List, the World Anti-Doping Code or any Technical Document published by WADA; or by any other required method (including, but not limited to, checking the substance on Global DRO).

  3. The Calculator produces results for the following substances only: 

    1. Inhaled formoterol;
    2. Inhaled salbutamol;
    3. Inhaled salmeterol; and
    4. Inhaled vilanterol.

    The Calculator does not produce results for any other substance.

  4. The User is responsible for correctly inputting any information into the Calculator, including (but not limited to):
    1. Selecting the correct substance contained within the inhaler;
    2. The amount of substance(s) that is delivered per dose; and
    3. The number of puffs taken within the defined time period.
  5. The User is responsible for consulting the Calculator whenever the WADA Prohibited List changes and whenever their medication changes.
  6. The User is responsible for keeping a record of any result produced by the Calculator; including, but not limited to, inputting the correct email address when issuing a request for any results to be sent by email.
  7. UKAD is not liable for any error, omission or inaccuracy produced by the Calculator including, but not limited to, incorrect results occurring due to:
    1. The incorrect input of information into the Calculator by the User; and
    2. Time delays between the change in status of a substance on the WADA Prohibited List and the Calculator being updated to reflect any change in status.
  8. UKAD is not liable for any misinterpretation of the results provided by the Calculator.
  9. The Calculator is not to be treated as medical advice. The User is responsible for consulting a medical practitioner in relation to their use of any medication they are prescribed.
  10. UKAD is not liable for any misuse of any substance by the User.
  11. UKAD is not liable for any failure by the User to strictly follow these Terms of Use or any other instructions on this webpage.
  12. The Calculator is subject to UKAD’s General Privacy Notice and the UKAD Cookie Policy.
