New anti-doping resources created for students studying Pearson BTEC Level 3 qualifications in sport
UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) is pleased to share a new suite of anti-doping resources with students studying on the Pearson BTEC Level 3 qualifications in sport.
Working with education provider Pearson, UKAD has produced a set of 14 resources for those completing a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Sport & Outdoor Activities; Sport, Fitness and Personal Training; Sports Excellence & Performance; and Sports Coaching & Development.
UKAD’s content in each of the modules is designed to support students in further education widen their knowledge and awareness of anti-doping, focussing their learning around clean sport, safeguarding and integrity.
Paul Moss, Head of Education at UK Anti-Doping, said: “Education is a fundamental aspect of what we do at UKAD, playing a crucial role in the journey of both athletes and Athlete Support Personnel (ASP).
“The development of these specific BTEC resources highlights our commitment to supporting both athletes and the ASP of the future and ensuring that they have the knowledge and understanding they need when pursuing a career in sport.”
Gareth Reynolds, Product Manager of Sport and Physical Activity at Pearson added, “Bringing specialist resources from UKAD to support centres in delivering this sector critical content within our qualifications is a positive and proactive step. Our learners are the workforce of the future, whilst many are learner-athletes on their dual career journey, many will form or influence Athlete Support Personnel.”
The new resources can be accessed by BTEC students on UKAD’s eLearning platform, The Clean Sport Hub.
