UKAD announce Jane Rumble as new Chief Executive

• Jane Rumble joins UKAD from Ofcom where she is the Change Director
• Starts role in March 2022
• UKAD Chair Trevor Pearce ‘delighted’ with appointment and highlights Jane Rumble’s extensive regulatory experience

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has confirmed today that Jane Rumble will take up the position of Chief Executive in March 2022.

Rumble joins UKAD with extensive experience in the UK regulatory sector. As Change Director, Rumble leads Ofcom’s transformation work bringing about a significant change in digital skills and capabilities, and making sure Ofcom’s workforce reflects people and perspectives from across the whole of the UK. She has also driven forwards stronger multi-site working with the opening of the new Manchester hub.

Prior to this Rumble held senior roles at Ofcom in relation to Consumer Policy as well as leading Ofcom’s Diversity and Inclusion action plan.

Speaking on the announcement Rumble said: “UKAD plays a crucial role in protecting the integrity of sport. It is a huge privilege to be appointed as Chief Executive of UKAD and I look forward to leading the organisation to combat the threats to clean sport.”

On Jane Rumble’s appointment UKAD Chair Trevor Pearce said: “We are delighted to welcome Jane to UKAD and are excited for her to start in March and continue UKAD’s mission to protect sport.

“The challenges in sport regulation are complex and ever changing and in Jane, we have a new leader who will direct UKAD’s operations to tackle the biggest threats to clean sport.

“Jane brings a wealth of experience from the regulatory sector, most recently at Ofcom where she has led significant business change across many areas of their operations. Her experience in navigating complex stakeholder environments and working within an organisation accountable to the public will stand her in great stead as she takes on the role.”

Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston said: “The UK is committed to clean sport and I’m very pleased Jane will be bringing her extensive regulatory experience to UKAD. She joins the organisation at an important time and will work closely with partners around the world leading the UK’s fight against doping in sport.”
