WADA’s 2024 Prohibited List
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) released the 2024 Prohibited List on 27 September 2023. Broken down into several categories, the Prohibited List designates which substances and methods are prohibited in sport at all times, in-competition only, and within specific sports.
Whether you’re an athlete or Athlete Support Personnel, it is vital you are aware of the changes so you don’t get caught out and end up with a ban from sport.
The following resources are now available to read on WADA’s website:
- The full 2024 Prohibited List
- The WADA 2024 Summary of Major Modifications and Explanatory Notes
- The 2024 Monitoring Programme which includes substances not currently on the Prohibited List, but are being monitored by WADA for potential patterns of misuse in sport.
UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) will be providing further information later in October with a summary of the major changes to the 2024 Prohibited List.
The 2024 Prohibited List will come into effect on 1 January 2024.
